One of the most important rules in the game of craps

I was just talking to an old friend who is a great example of one of the most important rules in the game craps.

We were playing at the Stardust in the early 70s. At that time the table limit was a mere $500. We were all on the pro pool circuit at the time and on this particular night the table was full of pro pool players. Talk about guys that like to bet!

This friend and another friend each put in $35 for a total bankroll of $70. Not much -even back then. A pretty blonde picked up the dice and started throwing... and throwing... and throwing. And then the next roller had a hot hand... and it continued that way for what seemed like an eternity. When they got up to 110 THOUSAND their luck changed. They lost back 10K in a matter of minutes.

This friend of mine realized what had just happened... At the end of the next session - he walked out of the casino with 50K. As a matter of fact, he dropped out of the pool tournament we were in and headed for home - even though he was undefeated in the tournament.

My other friend didn't leave the table until he was back down to his original $35. The next day he lost that.

In the game of dice - luck shines upon us all. It’s what we do next that matters.

If you have rolled the dice in Vegas -chances are you have already met me. Some of you may know me from my time on the professional pool tour. My name is Richie Ambrose and they call me The Craps Authority. I'm almost 70 years old now, but I'm sharper than ever. I'm new to this group and to the internet - but I'm catching on fast. I can't believe what a powerful thing this really is.

I've been playing, teaching, and dealing this game for coming up on 50 years now. I started learning the game in a Bronx pool hall as the wise guys would play on top of one of the pool tables on weekends when Vegas was just a figment of somebody's imagination. I came out here to Vegas in 1962 and have been here ever since- making a living with the dice. I've seen it all and I've been through it all.

I've had my basic strategy down for decades - a lot of people use it and some even sell it as their own. I'm always making it better and finally I have it on the Internet. I have some advanced strategies that I'm just putting down on paper and those will be online soon.
